Slang Glyphs

Messages to Glyphs

In this project, I choose a typeface with development potential and unique details that attract me. I chose Wagon bold which is a serif typeface with strong contrast and elegant curves. I've chosen five slang phrases that are commonly used in texting messages. They are Np, Atm, Kewl, Thx, Cu.

Then I analyzed and split the typeface in pieces within the slang words. The interesting and unique parts are selected and reorganized into a single glyph, which also comes with a new type spicemen to present the design style of the glyph and give a over look of how the glyph I imagine to be used.
